The art of spinning and weaving is as old as human civilisation.
Its origins date back to prehistoric times and it is not possible to establish a precise date. The Umbria Region preserves and passes on ancient weaving techniques, with which timeless fabrics are still created today, carrying with them the history of Umbrian art and territory. A ‘dialogue’ between the weavers of the beautiful villages of Bevagna and Nocera Umbra shows how the tradition is still alive and preserved.
