Sergej Saltykow – yesterday, today, tomorrow is a story about pathologist Sergej Saltykow (1874-1964) and the Department of Pathology School of Medicine University of Zagreb. The Department of Pathology was created in 1922. and this year’s celebrates 100 years of existence. Until his arrival in Zagreb, Saltykow had worked in Zurich, Marburg, Prague, Paris, Groningen, and Basel and he founded the Central Pathology Institute in Kharkov. Saltykow joined the department in 1922 and remained there until 1952. In this video we speak about Saltykow and importance of his heritage for the department in past, today and for future
