Sergej Saltykow – yesterday, today, tomorrow is a story about pathologist Sergej Saltykow (1874-1964) and the Department of Pathology School of Medicine University of Zagreb. The Department of Pathology was created in 1922. and this year’s celebrates 100 years of existence. Until his arrival in Zagreb, Saltykow had worked in Zurich, Marburg, Prague, Paris, Groningen, and Basel and he founded the Central Pathology Institute in Kharkov.
